Beware: Temporal Loops is a 3D survival game on an alien planet, but with a twist (or maybe a loop).

I made for the GMTK 2025 Game Jam based around the theme "Loop".

In this game you find yourself exploring an alien planet inhabited by hostile aliens. Plans were made for a rescue mission tomorrow but a strange "Temporal Loop" anomaly means you may never reach tomorrow to be rescued. How long will you be able to survive stranded on this terrible world?

This game was built using pygame as a fun challenge (and way to avoid annoying unity problems). It has procedurally generated scenery (rocks, grass, lakes, etc), and a variety of alien fauna and flora (some of which arer a bit nasty).

All art and audio assets were made by myself with some help on artwork from one other anonymous member on the background and spaceman art. Some code including the dialogue system and the 3D graphics engine for pygame that I made have been reused from previous projects. The grass, rock and one of the music tracks that I made have been reused from previous projects. All other assets were made specifically for this game during the 4 day period.
